DEVLOG #2 — MEMORY TILES, WORLD LOOT & ITEM RESTORATION



Building on the MVP launch, we’re expanding how exploration affects the world around you—and how the world remembers you.
TILE MEMORY IS HERE
Every tile Ava steps on now stores localized memory:
- What’s been found there
- What events were triggered
- Whether danger, reward, or nothing still lingers
These aren’t just markers—they’re groundwork for a reactive world. Come back to a place, and the game knows what happened.

FOUNDABLE ITEMS (WORK IN PROGRESS)
We’re prototyping location-based loot tied to Ava’s movement.
- 🌌 Items can be found once per tile
- 🎲 Rolls are based on tech tier, rarity, and metadata
- 🧭 Once looted, a tile won’t drop again
This means rare gear feels rare—no grinding, no repetition, just meaningful finds in forgotten corners.
WEIGHTED DISCOVERY SYSTEM
Item drops now follow a smart weighted system:

You’ll still get lucky—but now it matters whereyou were, and why you were there.
SHOPS EVOLVE: BUY, SELL & RESTORE (ALL WIP)
The shop system is being reworked to support a full lifecycle of item interaction:
🧃 BUY
- Buyable inventory is filtered by sublocation, shop type, and recommended level
- Rations buy armor, weapons, and upgrades
- Power Cells buy consumables and short-term boosts
💸 SELL
- Most found or crafted items can be sold (excludes quest and lore-bound gear)
- Items sell for 40% of their base worth
- Ownership is validated before allowing sale
♻️ RESTORE
- Some items lose stability after repeated mission use
- You can now restore them at shops for a flat cost (1 Power Cell)
- Perfect for sentimental, narrative, or mission-relevant gear

This is all part of our push toward a semi persistent world—where the things you find, lose, fix, and remember… become part of Ava’s journey.
